Car Rear-Ends Semi-Truck in Accident near Highway 138
HESPERIA, CA (May 17, 2020) – A woman and two children suffered injuries in a rear-end crash on 15 Freeway on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened between Highway 138 and Oak Hill Road around 4:30 PM.
Reports showed that a blue Nissan Sentra rear-ended the back of a semi-truck. As a result, the woman driving the sedan was trapped inside the car.
Emergency crews rescued the victim. Afterward, they sent her to the hospital using a Mercy Air helicopter. A ground ambulance also sent two children to Loma Linda University Medical Center. However, their conditions were not released.
CHP officials briefly shut down the freeway for the Mercy Air helicopter to land.
Police did not release factors that caused the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
