Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Grand Avenue [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Sustains Multiple Injuries in Crash near Fanuel Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 16, 2020) – A 24-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue on late Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before midnight near Fanuel Street.
The San Diego Police said that the victim darted across the intersection from a sidewalk when he was struck by a 2020 Ford Fusion.
Emergency crews reported that the man sustained injuries to his chest and multiple bone fractures. Fortunately, his condition was not life-threatening.
Police confirmed that the 25-year-old man driving the Ford was not intoxicated. However, an investigation continues.
