SAN DIEGO, CA (May 11, 2020) – Two drivers suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash on Imperial Avenue on Monday night.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened in front of Lincoln High School near 47th Street around 9:15 PM.
The crash happened when a 45-year-old man driving a 1993 Toyota Corolla veered into the far-right eastbound lane and crashed head-on into a 1999 Toyota Rav4 SUV driven by a 19-year-old girl.
As a result, emergency crews sent both drivers to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The man had a concussion and a fractured forearm while the girl suffered a fractured pelvis and forearm.
Intoxication was not believed to have been a factor in the crash. However, police continue to investigate the crash.
