Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 8, 2020)—A hit-and-run pedestrian accident on East Olive Avenue near North Fisher Street turned deadly Wednesday night.
 
Around 9:30 p.m., officers arrived at the scene to find a woman in her 50s with serious injuries. Paramedics were subsequently called to the area to transport the woman to a hospital.
 
However, in spite of life-saving efforts, the victim died.
 
According to investigators, the woman was crossing East Olive Avenue when a four-door sedan struck her as it traveled east. The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene and took off just before officers arrived.
