Hit-and-Run Vehicle Involved in Crash near Island Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 25, 2020) – A man in a wheelchair suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 16th Street on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Island Avenue around 9:30 P.M. Based on reports, an unidentified vehicle struck the man at the intersection.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics transported the patient to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Officers described the suspect car as a white Dodge truck.
