Pregnant Woman Loses Unborn Baby after Hit-and-Run Crash at Swan Road
TUCSON, AZ (April 7, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that an unborn baby died in a crash on Speedway Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Tucson Fire officials, the accident happened at North Swan Road around 1:54 PM.
A woman who was 24-weeks pregnant was a passenger of a 2018 Ford Focus that collided with an older model maroon Nissan Titan. The truck left the scene after the incident.
Paramedics rendered aid to the victim and the driver of the car. They transported the pregnant woman to Banner University Medical Center with serious injuries that caused her to lose her baby.
Police did not release any additional information or details to the public at this time. However, officials are conducting an investigation into the accident.
