OXNARD, CA (April 8, 2020) – A driver got arrested after getting involved in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 1 on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Rice Avenue around 9:50 PM.
Reports showed a white Chevrolet Camaro traveling at high speeds before being pulled over by police officers.
However, the driver fled from officers at speeds that reached over 160 MPH. The suspect then struck another car and continued to flee for about a mile before stopping.
Paramedics transported one occupant of the victim’s vehicle that was struck by the suspect to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Police took the suspect into custody. Officials did not release any other information. However, an investigation is ongoing.
