Two Injured in Rear-End Crash near Rappahannock Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 10, 2020) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a crash on Clairemont Drive on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Rappahannock Avenue around 4:10 PM.
Reports showed the 59-year-old was driving a 2011 Toyota Corolla when she veered to the left and rear-ended a 2007 Jeep Wrangler that was in the left turn lane on Clairemont Drive. As a result, the Jeep flipped onto its side.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The 53-year-old man driving the SUV was evaluated at the scene for a complaint of pain.
Intoxication was not a factor in the crash. However, an investigation is ongoing.
