One Killed in Two-Car Crash on Campus Parkway [Riverside, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash near Day Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 6, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a two-car crash on Campus Parkway on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Day Street at approximately 9:45 AM.
Riverside Police said that the 34-year-old’s 2009 Dodge Avenger ran a red light and crashed into a 2018 Ford Focus driven by a 51-year-old Moreno Valley man. As a result, the Focus pushed sideways as the Dodge careened into a brick wall.
The man, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the driver of the Focus sustained minor injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not ruled out as possible factors in the crash.
