One Killed in DUI Car Crash on Pachappa Drive [Riverside, CA]

DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Accident near Jurupa Avenue

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 29, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a DUI car crash on Pachappa Drive on early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Jurupa Avenue at approximately 4:18 AM.
 
Reports from Riverside City Police showed that a 21-year-old driver of a 1999 Infiniti G20 drove east before losing control of the car on a curve at the intersection. The car then hit a stop sign and a light pole.
 
The passenger in the vehicle died at the scene. Police did not release the identity of the victim. The car driver was treated for his injuries and booked into county jail for drinking under the influence.
