Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident in Danville
DANVILLE, CA (March 30, 2020) — A two-vehicle motorcycle accident on 680 Freeway near El Pintado Road resulted in a fatality on Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, callers reported the accident around 8:13 p.m.
At least one person died in the two-vehicle crash that involved a motorcycle just north of the El Pintado Road interchange in Danville. Due to investigations, emergency crews closed all freeway lanes until 8:45 p.m.
Sources say that one victim was found in the middle lane of the interstate and officers scoured the area for a possible second victim who may have been riding on the motorcycle.
At this time, information surrounding what caused the crash or the events leading to it are unavailable; however, officers investigating this incident encourage witnesses to come forward and help them piece together what had happened.
