Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash on Monitor Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 26, 2020) – A teenager suffered injuries in a miniature motorcycle crash on Monitor Street on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision occurred near Berkshire Road at approximately 3:15 PM.
The 17-year-old victim drove a pocket-bike style miniature motorcycle. However, a vehicle struck him. The teen did not wear a helmet at the time of the crash.
Paramedics sent the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle complained of pain and also taken to the hospital for treatment.
As a result, officials said that drugs, alcohol, and speed were not factors in the accident.
