Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Oaksdale Avenue
RENTON, WA (March 20, 2020) – The authorities reported that a pedestrian became critical after a hit-and-run crash on Sunset Boulevard Friday afternoon.
According to Renton Police, the incident happened in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard near the Sunset View Apartments. In addition, it happened near Oaksdale Avenue at approximately 3:20 PM.
Based on reports, a vehicle struck the victim. After that, the vehicle left the scene without rendering aid.
Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital with serious injuries. However, no further information is immediately available.
Police described the suspect vehicle as a possible navy-blue Saab. It is believed to have front and passenger-side damage. In addition, its side mirror torn off and was left behind at the scene.
As a result, the eastbound lanes of the roadway closed at the scene during rescue and clearing operations in the area.
