Steve Mehr Named Board Member of Chapman’s School of Communication
[ORANGE, CALIFORNIA – June 25 2019] Chapman University’s School of Communication has selected Steve Mehr as one of the founding members of its Board of Councilors. Mehr, a successful attorney, CEO, and serial entrepreneur, brings extensive business and communication experience to the University.
As an attorney, Mehr has overseen hundreds of successful recoveries for his personal injury, class action, and mass tort clients. He routinely works on high-profile cases and his celebrity clients include Grammy and Golden Globe winners, social influencers and award winning actors.
Additionally, Mehr has found success as an entrepreneur. Creating businesses that include various media and advertising agencies. He also serves as an investor and board member for LA Weekly, one of the largest alt weekly newspapers in the country.
Mehr has judged and coached business competitions at UCLA and USC, and is an in-demand speaker in subjects of law, entrepreneurship, and media. Foundr magazine has featured Mehr in their “Most Influential Entrepreneurs” book and his no nonsense advice has been the subject of an entire chapter in a New York Times best selling business book.
Mehr credits his pursuit of new technology for much of his success. “Innovation, especially today, is key to a successful enterprise. The School of Communication Board of Councilors plays an integral role in fulfilling its mission. Board members work in partnership with Dean Lisa Sparks to determine the School’s priorities, programs, and community partnerships. Their leadership and professional expertise serve to guide and advise the Dean in her work to raise the profile of the School of Communication, both in the Southern California region and nationally.
